  • YOU WILL LOOK FLAWLESS AND FEEL THE BEST YOU EVER HAVE.

Hello Gorgeous! Yes that's right, I GOT YOU :) My name is Kristen Saxton and I absolutely LOVE what I do and you are in THE BEST hands with all your make-up needs! Here's a little about me:
  • Well, way back when, I used to be in finance, YES, FINANCE lol After not being satisfied with my career and always having a creative side, I threw caution to the wind (which I recommend to everyone) and I went back to Make-up School. (everyone thought I was crazy) lol

  • Make-up school was absolutely the best time of my life! When I was in there, I knew without a doubt that I had made the right decision and I quickly was able to get my foot in the door of the cosmetics industry, and started as Beauty Expert for Shoppers Drug Mart while finishing school.
  • After grinding it out for a few months there, I got offered a make-up artist position for M.A.C cosmetics. My team was amazing and after just over a year of proving myself as a talented Make-up Artist and a strong leader, I was extremely excited to be promoted to Assistant Manager. Shortly after achieving my management role, I then earned the most coveted certification as a M.A.C. certified fashion show and event team artist.
  • As a fashion show certified artist, I had the honour of doing make-up for events like TIFF, the Much Music video awards, Canadian Screen Awards, and numerous fashion shows. I have done make-up for Derek Hough of World of Dance, Shermar Moore of Criminal Minds, Mary Walsh from This hour has 22 minutes, Micheal Jackson's son Prince, and Kellen Lutz from Twilight just to name a few.
  • Now recently, after a decade with M.A.C. Cosmetics, a little opportunity meets preperation as this year I was hired as a full time artist for CTV. I get to do make-up for the anchors, hosts and guests on CP24, BNN and Your morning. The best thing about this new role is not only does it allow me to do make-up for TV personalities, fashion shows and celebrity events, but it gives me the freedom to grow and expand my amazing clientele of all my new brides and fabulous loyal clients!
  • Whether you need make-up for your big day, to huge event, to Halloween, or even just want to do a lesson to learn how to do make-up for yourself or others, I'm MORE then happy to help. I feel what separates me from all the other make-up artists out there these days, is my ability to connect with my clients, understand their needs and leave them feeling amazing inside and out. I truly believe it's more than just make-up I'm doing, it's connecting and empowering women by creating the look that makes them look and feel their best.
  • Stay Beautiful,
  • Kristen Saxton :)

Before and after

Celebrity Make-up

One of my favorite events to do is the MMVA’s. This year I got the pleasure of doing make-up and male grooming for the ridiculously charming and kind SHEMAR MOORE. Such a beautiful soul inside and out! Please visit makeupbysax on IG to see more behinds the scenes videos from the MMVA’s 2016!!!! 🙂

These ladies were fabulous inside and out! I had the privilege of doing make-up for the lovely Mary Walsh and Helen Shaver for the 2016 Canadian screen awards. This was the third year I did make-up for the event and I loved it! This is my work on these STUNNING women!!

The 2016 TOM* Toronto Men’s fashion week was incredible. The energy of the event was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. I had the pleasure of doing make-up for Paul Mason/fashion santa. He was an absolute please to work with! I can’t wait to do this event next year! Check out some of the runway looks I executed!!!!

I was chosen to do Make-up for the 2015 Canadian Screen awards! It was honour to do make-up for THE Eugene Levy, Diego Klattenhoff from The Black list and Mark Critch best know from This hour has 22 minutes. Such an awesome experience!

I had the pleasure of doing make-up for Kellan Lutz, best known from the movies; Twilight, The Expendibles 3, and Immortals. As well as Drew Kennedy from The Bachlorette for the Much Music Video Awards. They were funny, kind and absolute gentleman, not too hard on the eyes either lol. One of the highlights of my career thus far! Here is the final product 🙂

Working TIFF this year was amazing! I have worked TIFF in previous years and it’s always exciting and hectic. From having 10 minutes to do a make-up, to going from hotel to hotel room to do make-up, it’s never a dull moment. This year I had the pleasure to do make-up for Danny Trejo, best know from his role in Machete. He was super funny and just over all a great guy. Here he is attending the 2015 Amba Gala, make-up by me.
